Executive Vice President, Finance
Glenn Garbowicz is the Executive Vice President, Finance of AccuQuote. He brings over 27 years of professional management experience to AccuQuote and is responsible for overseeing the business development, organization, and financial growth of the company.
Prior to joining AccuQuote, Garbowicz spent 7 years with Hubbell Lighting, a division of Hubbell Inc. and a Fortune 1000 company, as VP/GM of the Lighting Components Business where he was responsible for strategic planning, sales, marketing, technology and administrative functions. While there, he successfully grew the business from $3M to $84M, coordinated the integration of an acquisition, completed the turnaround of an existing internal business and the successful migration from legacy systems to SAP across the unit.
From 2003 to 2009, Glenn served at the President Thomas Research Products, a specialty components designer and manufacturer that was part of the startup Varon group of companies that was later sold to Hubbell Lighting. During that period Garbowicz orchestrated the transition of the company from a legacy technology company to a leader in the LED components and energy saving space.
Garbowicz previously served 6 years as President of Venture Power Systems, a startup company that quickly became a leading innovator and manufacturer of energy saving equipment and controls. During that time, Garbowicz was instrumental in the launch of over 1,400 new products, integration of 2 international acquisitions, and growth from a zero baseline to over $35M in three years.
Glenn started his career in 1987 at Philips, a global electronics leader, as an electrical engineer and rose to Director of Engineering during his 10 year tenure and was responsible for a number of energy saving innovations in the controls and lighting market.
Mr. Garbowicz holds 16 US Patents in a variety of technologies and processes.
Garbowicz holds a bachelor’s degree Magna cum Laude in Electrical Engineering from Marquette University and an MBA Summa cum Laude from Loyola University, where he graduated as Valedictorian and received the Outstanding Graduate Student Award. He resides in Algonquin, Illinois with his three children.
