Vice President, Digital Strategy & Business Relationships
Tedd Patel is the Vice President, Digital Strategy & Business Relationships for AccuQuote.
He reports directly to the company’s chief executive officer, playing an active role in helping lead the overall growth and development of the company.
Patel’s leadership responsibilities have cross-functional impact to AccuQuote and span multiple business units. His primary management duties consist of overseeing new market/product growth, managing external strategic partnerships, and working closely with key management personnel at insurance carrier partners to develop and drive new growth opportunities via digital product and process solutions.
He was responsible for developing a sales staff that successfully increased sales revenue by more than 20 percent annually from 2005 to 2008. He also drove the implementation of electronic signatures for AccuQuote clients with several insurance carriers. More recently, his passion for digital innovation played a key role in adding senior market insurance products with enhanced voice signature capability for clients.
Patel began his career with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBSI), where he helped oversee sales department operations and was responsible for training, recruiting, and educating independent insurance brokers appointed to sell BCBSI products. He also successfully contributed to new product launches that resulted in contracting an additional 10,000 insurance brokers over a three-year period.
Patel has also previously served in the past as treasurer of the National Association of Health Underwriters’ Chicago chapter, a highly regarded association of insurance agents of which he also has been a member of the board of directors. In addition to holding a bachelor’s degree in speech communication and dramatic arts from Ripon College, he’s currently pursuing his MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He resides in Chicago, IL.
