Tedd Patel - Director of National Sales
Tedd Patel is the director of national sales for AccuQuote. He is responsible for managing, developing, and training all national sales division employees.He reports directly to the senior vice president of sales, playing an active role in helping lead the overall growth and development of the company.
Patel's primary day-to-day responsibilities include overseeing daily operations of the national sales division staff, setting goals and expectations for the sales leadership team, monitoring overall sales revenue and production, and facilitating all internal national sales division communications.
Under Patel's guidance, the company has developed a sales staff that has successfully increased sales revenue year-over-year. He has played a key role in directing an internal task force committee that created key customer resource tools allowing the sales staff to provide faster, more accurate information for AccuQuote clients.
Prior to joining AccuQuote, Patel spent two years as a special agent for one of the country's largest and most highly rated life insurance companies, Northwestern Mutual Life.
Patel began his career with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBSI), where he helped oversee sales department operations and was responsible for training, recruiting, and educating independent insurance brokers appointed to sell BCBSI products. He also successfully contributed to new product launches that resulted in contracting an additional 10,000 insurance brokers over a three-year period.
Patel has also previously served in the past as treasurer of the National Association of Health Underwriters' Chicago chapter, a highly regarded association of insurance agents of which he also has been a member of the board of directors. He resides in Chicago and holds a bachelor's degree in speech communication and dramatic arts from Ripon College.
