Don Loonam - Senior Vice President of Sales

Don Loonam is senior vice president of sales for AccuQuote. He reports directly to the company’s executive vice president.

As senior vice president of sales, Loonam is responsible for leading and providing strategic direction for AccuQuote’s sales department. His principal focus involves identifying and implementing best in class selling, while helping the company increase its growth and sustain its profitability.

Loonam has many years of expertise in the financial services industry. In addition, he has proven experience in providing strategic direction to sales professionals, including fully building and growing an internal sales call center.

Prior to AccuQuote, Loonam served as vice president of sales at Washington Mutual’s Home Loans Division. In less than two years at WaMu, he helped the company climb in market share rank from number eight in the Midwest to number one despite ranking 11th place in price.

Loonam believes that exceptional customer service is the number one priority to deliver to AccuQuote’s clients and he is deeply committed to selling the company’s value proposition as opposed to competing solely on price.

Loonam’s career in the financial services industry began at Montgomery Ward Corporate Credit. He also worked at Century Mortgage and First Capital.

Loonam holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Illinois, Urbana. He currently resides in Geneva, Illinois with his wife and children.
