We've been trying to improve our service to our customers and we'd like your feedback. Often times, people come to our website and request a life insurance quote. We then try to follow up with them via phone to verify the information and answer any questions they may have. However there are times when we can't get a hold of them. They don't answer the phone and they don't call us back.
We're hoping to find out why people don't take further action. If you've ever gone to our site, our competitors site, an auto insurer site or even health insurance site and filled out an application or requested a quote and didn't follow through we want to know why. For instance, was it because your experience with the website a bad one? Did you get all the information you needed already? Were you still shopping around? Did you think the quote was too high? Or, are you just too busy to return a call?
Whatever the reason may be, any insight as to why you haven't taken action would be greatly appreciated. Why? Because if it's because of something we can improve on, such as our service or website, we want to know. Thanks for your feedback!
Help us continue to improve our service...
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:18 PM I found life insurance at a more reasonable rate. By the time we play phone tag and take up a lot of each other's time, I just want the bottom line on what it's going to cost. Maybe you could put together a brochure and mail it out listing approx age and health status with pricing for each so people could guestimate what it is going to cost them before you follow up with a phone call.
Oct 13, 2006 at 12:27 PM Debbie (comment #1), <br><br>Thanks for your feedback. It sounds like you have several questions. We have many different types of plans available to you. The best and quickest way to get all of your questions answered is to set aside 15 minutes and call our office at 800-442-9899. I understand that you work a lot, but this will be the quickest way to evaluate all of your life insurance options.
Oct 13, 2006 at 9:20 AM Actually, I am seeking price quotes on a life insurance policy. I never did submit specifics, but I haven't been able to return your calls because I am "SOOOO BUSY!" Sorry about that. The problem was from this perspective - not yours! Hopefully we can discuss this soon. Thanks!<br>Prof. BS Reall
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:23 AM I had a malfunction on my e=mail and received up to 150 e=mails a day. Perhaps I didn;t recognize your subject line. I just turned 71, and am looking fir 20 year term life. I believe I got the impression you did not write insurance for people over 65.
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:27 AM Dan (comment #8), <br><br>Thanks for your comment. While we do write life insurance for people at your age, it is more difficult. I'll pass your information along to one of our managers, and one of our life insurance experts will give you a call to evaluate what life insurance options are available to you.
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:42 AM I found all website helpful and was contacted right away. I was not able to purchase the insurance because of weight issues, which is my own fault. The sales rep was very professional and helpful.
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:47 AM Rosalind (comment #10), <br><br>Thanks for your feedback. If there were any options that you discussed with your sales rep that may work for you down the road, we'll be ready to help.
Oct 13, 2006 at 11:54 AM Professor Reall (comment #7), <br><br>Please let us know a good time to discuss your life insurance needs with us, and we'll schedule a call together. We understand that it's not always the most convenient time to talk when we reach out to you with a phone call, but we'd love to schedule a call when it is a good time to talk. <br><br>Thanks.
Oct 13, 2006 at 12:02 PM David (comment #5), <br><br>Thanks for your response. My recommendation would be get the process started with a new policy right away, since it will take several weeks to get a new policy put into force. You can reach our office at 800-442-9899, and we'll be happy to run through all of your available options. <br><br>Thanks again.
Oct 13, 2006 at 12:06 PM John (comment #6), <br><br>Thanks for your feedback. My recommendation is to give us a quick call. Our life insurance experts have all of the best available life insurance options at their fingertips. Due to our extensive database, in about 10 minutes you can get a thorough evaluation of what's available to you based on your coverage needs and price considerations. Our office number is 800-442-9899.<br><br>Whenever you're ready, we're here to help!
Oct 13, 2006 at 12:18 PM Berenice (comment #3), <br><br>You are correct that as your get older, life insurance becomes more expensive to obtain. There may still be some options available to you that fit within your budget and meets your coverage needs. My only recommendation is to give our office a call at 800-442-9899 and talk with one of our life insurance experts. It should only take about 10 minutes to see if there is a life insurance policy available to you that meets your needs.
Oct 13, 2006 at 12:22 PM Ruth (comment #2), <br><br>Thanks for the note. Yes, it's easy to see how getting your gallbladder removed would be more important that returning our call at that time. <br><br>We can converse with you via email or phone, but phone will be much quicker. We can answer all of your questions and evaluate all of your available options in less than 15 minutes versus going back and forth with several emails. Let us know what you prefer. We will do business with you however you prefer to do business with us.
Oct 13, 2006 at 8:24 AM First off I hate the phone and avoid it with a passion, when I went to your site I expected to get a quote not a call, this didn't happen. Why is it I can get car insurance, homeowners insurance on line without the need of a phone call, when this changes write me back.
Oct 13, 2006 at 8:40 AM I have been impressed with the professionalism of your company from the beginning to the most recent follow-up email I received today. My delay in buying has been due to my current policy not expiring until the end of October. I am still very interested in your help.
Oct 12, 2006 at 8:59 PM Prices to high compared to others.
Oct 13, 2006 at 8:17 AM I've only had one agent to contact me regarding insurance for myself. The insurance he offered was to expensive. I am a senior on a fixed income and will not be able to pay for my death while trying to afford to pay for my life while I'm living. My health is excellent but do to my age I was quoted a policy that will cause me to be homeless and hungry either way I'm done after working 70 years of my life. You may contact me. Thank you.
Oct 12, 2006 at 8:37 PM My gall bladder decided it wanted to be liberated. Medical priorities took precedence. I would rather get more details by email anyhow. My phone is busy much of the time and I end up with hours and hours of phone messages that mostly tell me to call people back. Telephone tag is very frustrating
Oct 12, 2006 at 4:49 PM was just checking on prices for some kind oflife ins. Not sure yet what were going to do. Want to keep it as low as possible for right now, but yet looking to get something.<br>Nothing you have done wrong. Thanks
Oct 12, 2006 at 5:56 PM I would like more details on the net of the different plans. Details like what does it cover just accident? of old age what? I'm a travel nurse i work 6 days a week, 12 hours shifts, I don't have time to talk to people on the phone.

Oct 18, 2006 at 10:00 PM I thought the quote was good and fair and I am still shopping and will get back to you soon.<br> JIM ANDERSON
Oct 19, 2006 at 4:47 AM Your site was easy to navigate and your quote was easy to read and very competitive. Unfortunately, we were not expecting such a cost for what we considered a reasonable life insurance policy. Therefore, my wife and I will have to reevaluate our needs so the premiums will fit our budget. Sorry for not answering the phone but we get a lot of solicitation calls. Typically if you leave a message we¢ll call back.
Oct 19, 2006 at 1:24 PM Prices too high compared to others. What is happen if I die after 15 year and one day?? I looking for hole life insurance and still thinking???<br><br>Thank you
Oct 21, 2006 at 5:33 PM Thanks for your quote and follow-up phone calls. I found something cheaper and no longer required your services. Again, thanks.
Oct 23, 2006 at 12:02 PM You never gave me a quote. I am a resident of PR and apparently you don't work on this territory. If you change your mind, let me know.
Oct 27, 2006 at 7:40 AM I apologize for not returning your e-mail earlier. I inquired into your company because I was interested in possibly purchasing additional insurance. I've been told by many people that because I am a diabetic and age 56 any insurance would be costly.
Oct 28, 2006 at 5:42 PM I am out of work at this time ad jst cannot afford it at this time.
Oct 28, 2006 at 5:43 PM I am out of work at this time and just cannot afford it at this time.
Nov 14, 2006 at 4:03 PM I purchased a term life policy and was told that I would receive a copy of the lab results. I never did, I was also told that my premiums would be high becasue of an elevated PSA count. Two private exams disagree. Will I ever receive the results of the blood samples that you took? Should I re-apply? Thanks, Mr. O'Connor
Dec 21, 2006 at 12:36 PM not enough money right now.
Dec 21, 2006 at 12:43 PM Louis (comment #99), <br><br>Thanks for your response. Keep in mind that we have several options for you that can fit into most budgets. Oct 16, 2006 at 6:14 PM I am still interested in purchasing a new life insurance policy. Please send me some new quotes.<br><br>
Oct 16, 2006 at 9:51 PM Cannot qualify for affordable life or health insurance due to current health issues.
Oct 17, 2006 at 3:23 AM I was wanting an electronic copy of the policy to review with my attourny but your representative said I needed to fill an application. I think I'll pass
Oct 17, 2006 at 6:59 AM I have chosen a GPM policy which was more in line with my Government ties and retirement...thank you for your concern...
Oct 17, 2006 at 7:33 AM Found Life Insurance already.<BR>2 policys with Super Nova Universal Life.20 year ea.<BR>1st policy $200,000 <BR>2nd universal with cash value at 20 yrs is $68,230<BR>Total Premium Both policies = $378.76 Month<BR>That's $400,000 Policy with cash at 20 years, which in fact I will be taking out. At that time it will be enough to buy a Gallon of Milk....HaHaHa....Only Reply if you can beat that rate by at least $50.00 a Month. <BR>Otherwise , Please take me off your mailing List
Oct 17, 2006 at 9:40 AM Leroy - I have forwarded your email to our director of sales. He or one of our sales agents will be in touch with you soon to discuss pension maximization options with you. We are very familiar with how this works and will be able to explain it very clearly. Thanks again¢¦in the meantime, feel free to email me directly should you have any additional comments or questions.
Oct 17, 2006 at 1:13 PM I have Alot to do and Just been REAL busy.
Oct 17, 2006 at 2:39 PM Received immediate CALL from local agent. He shoped for my needs and satisfied me with deal saving products from A+ companies. Life, was only one direction. In addition 3 Cars, and 3 properties. (one a commercial property) There was no delay, the call was immediate, and best of all he is local with references from local neighbors.
Oct 17, 2006 at 8:01 PM I have not shopped for life insurance in over 2 years. Whoever has "recently" entered my namein whatever website is committing fraud and/or identity theft. Please provide me with dates and times so that I may take further action.<br><br>sam<br>
Oct 17, 2006 at 9:07 PM I am looking at another company as they are a higher rated carrier with a lower price than what you quoted. If you can meet or beat their price. I may change to your company. I am a consumer that looks for quality and the price.
Oct 18, 2006 at 1:34 AM It's more than i can do,pricewise.I'm sorry you haven't been able to get me.
Oct 18, 2006 at 8:08 AM When I received a quote online for term life insurance, that is really all I wanted. I did not want some sales person to call me two or three times a week for at least a month.<br><br>Thanks,<br>Louis Lloyd
Oct 18, 2006 at 9:23 AM I just got busy with other thing but I am still interested in purchasing a policy. Please contact me to restart the dialog as I don't recall what was discussed previously.
Oct 18, 2006 at 9:23 PM I did not need the insurance yet. I was just trying to get an idea what it would cost for future reference.
Oct 18, 2006 at 9:44 PM I got a call at work from someone after I filled out a request for information online-they wanted social security numbers which I wasn't about to give out. So I never got a quote after giving birth date, etc. I can't understand why you can't give an estimate online. If you change this policy, email with some info. We still haven't committed.
Oct 16, 2006 at 3:53 PM Sell the phones and do business via the internet where you advertise. If I wanted to talk to a salesperson there are plenty of local agents with nothing else to do, stay off my phone.
Oct 16, 2006 at 4:59 PM You hit it right on the button - have been extremly busy. I am researching life insurance as a means of "pension maximization". My pension plan (Law Enforcement Officers and Firefighters) requires me to choose one of several options at retirement. I can choose the most money, but zero coverage on my spouse should I die, or several other options which would reduce my pension but would continue to my spouse upon my death. <br><br>The life insurance coverage would be to guarantee my spouse continued income should I choose the first option.<br>I have not entirely decided to do this, but that is why I am gathering quotes at this time. I have about 3 years to go until retirement but I realize that the premiums will continue to rise as I get older. <br><br>I am most interested in $400,000 for a 20-25 year term.
Oct 15, 2006 at 11:54 AM I did not receive your quote, or maybe it was deleted by mistake.<br><br>Thanks, Linda Price
Oct 15, 2006 at 11:58 AM I WAS QUOTED A ANNUAL a quote of $900.00 A YEAR ARE YOU NUTS WE DONT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY WE DONT LIVE IN YOUR WORLD BUT THE REAL ONE
Oct 15, 2006 at 12:05 PM I think the quote was too high plus I am waiting to go back to work before I purchase the insurance.
Oct 15, 2006 at 1:33 PM I wanted a quote but never received a phone call.
Oct 15, 2006 at 4:15 PM I've spent half of a lifetime dealing with salespeople on a one to one basis & frankly I don't like it & don't feel compelled to do it at this point in my life. When I request a quote via email or webform I expect a response in kind. My phones are set up so that toll free numbers go directly to voice mail unless I specify otherwise. I don't return calls to toll free numbers due to privacy issues, and I don't return calls to salesmen because I just don't want to.
Oct 15, 2006 at 4:47 PM I stated in the original contact form I wished a quote via email only, and I did get a quote however, like others before me have stated I am WAY to busy to have to deal with returning even more calls that I already have to. That's what made the online quote/process so attractive. My husband & I are still deciding what coverage we would like here and will consider your quotes as we make our decision.<br>Thank you.
Oct 15, 2006 at 6:56 PM im sorry for not contacting you sooner i have been very busy ,i do not need any insurance at this time but will consider your company if i should in the future.
Oct 15, 2006 at 9:10 PM I wanted to get an online quote. I am not ready to buy life insurance right now. I am just too busy to deal with phone calls and I need to wait until I can better afford life insurance at a later date. I will keep you in mind when it is better financially to get life insurance. Thank you.
Oct 15, 2006 at 9:52 PM I only received one follow up call.<br><br>They asked when I could be reached and that was it.<br><br>No one called since.<br><br>I have moved on and gotten a quote from another organization.
Oct 15, 2006 at 11:32 PM No complaints, I was just checking and forgot to save the quote. I would like to get the quote again, will try later.
Oct 16, 2006 at 9:25 AM Called and requested quote regarding premiums refunded term insurance. Cost was significantly higher than current term insurance through Primerica. WHile benefits are good, price tag was just too high.
Oct 16, 2006 at 9:30 AM First it was eons ago when I enquired for life rates. Yes the rates you quoted were higher than I was already paying for term life so I forgot about it and moved on.
Oct 16, 2006 at 9:58 AM We were seeking a life insurance policy that authorized applicants to visit a local physician or hospital for any required blood work.It need not be our own physician and can come from a referral list of your choosing as long as credentials as the provider or hospital are verifiable, known and respected within the community, and rated highly within health care circles. Some policies state that they will send a technician to the house or workplace or a storefront lab than has no hospital affiliation. We would not be interested in conducting business with this type of unknown individual or business.<br><br>S
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:06 AM When I went to your website to "get a quote", the prices specified were reasonable. However, your company followed up with a phone call that revealed a much higher price from a different company. This was confusing and it didn't help that your representative was not too friendly.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:07 AM On-line quotes would be more helpful than trying to take time to talk to someone --I hate to take someone's time when I'm really only shopping and just want a basic idea of rates and costs.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:08 AM In response to #58 - We¢re glad to hear that you¢re already insured and sorry we couldn¢t help you obtain a lower rate. Should you ever feel the need for additional insurance we hope you¢ll choose AccuQuote. Thanks again.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:26 AM I am sick and tired of dealing with internet insurance companies who don't know me from Adam.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:26 AM Leslie (#64) I have forwarded your request to our sales director and I¢m confident that he¢ll have one of our account executives contact you in the next day or so during the times you specified. I apologize for the lack of follow up.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:51 AM yes im still intrested in a quote. It might be easyier to reach me at home in the evening central time.
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:51 AM S Whittier - I completely understand, however I can assure you and others that the life insurance carriers carefully select these exam companies, review their work at least annually and require they prove themselves through performance measures regularly or risk losing the business altogether. The employees or medical examiners that draw blood and conduct the exam are licensed individuals, often time a nurse. <br><br>Most insurance companies do in fact use the same method as we do, but we respect your feelings and are sorry we¢re not able to provide you with what you are asking for. Thanks again for your feedback.<br>
Oct 16, 2006 at 10:56 AM Ron (#50) - I will have someone follow up with you via phone immediately.
Oct 16, 2006 at 12:10 PM Thanks for quote. I ended up obtaining life insurance through my employer via an auto-deduct system.
Oct 16, 2006 at 12:15 PM I'm still shopping for the best price available, and have been too busy to decide what I really want to do for my life insurance needs.
Oct 16, 2006 at 12:23 PM The plans offered are way to expensive. No one has time to talk on the phone anymore, nor do they want the pressure of having to purchase a plan they cant afford. We are a family of four trying to make ends meet and the quoted rates do not meet our financial means nor could I imagine them to be affordable to seniors on fixed income. Sorry but we just cannot afford the rates quoted.
Oct 16, 2006 at 1:11 PM I was hoping to receive something on line or through the mail so I could do some comparing with other companies but instead I got a phone call EVERY DAY which is a little annoying. I work two jobs so I don't have a whole lot of time to stay on a phone and I would like to be prepared with questions instead of trying to think of them on the spot.
Oct 14, 2006 at 5:54 PM The quote I received was too expensive and I am still shopping around. I have a small accidental life insurance right now and was hoping to add to that which was non-accidental. I am a single woman living alone and am on a somewhat tight budget, but have two adult children and three grandchildren in which I want to be comfortable feeling they are not going to be paying any left over expenses in the event of my death, whether it be accidental or otherwise. So I am trying to get several quotes before I decide what I can afford right now. Thank you.
Oct 14, 2006 at 6:50 PM just checking ouy my options right now will let you know when i get done with my qoutes
Oct 14, 2006 at 6:55 PM Your rates seem to be on the very high side. I was looking for lower rates.
Oct 14, 2006 at 8:41 PM I still very much want life insurance and would like to talk to one of your representatives. My husband received a life insurance policy through Accuquote and was quite pleased with the whole experience. However, I requested to be called between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., but all the calls came during the day when I'm never home. Once when my husband answered the phone, he asked the representative to call back on a Saturday. But that call never came. I have an extremely hectic schedule so I haven't be able to return any of the calls. Please keep trying, only during the times I've requested.
Oct 15, 2006 at 2:23 AM Thanks Donald. Keep in mind that one of the biggest benfits of doing business with AccuQuote is that we have access to the rates of each of the top rated life insurance carriers. Therefore, a quick call with one of our life insurance experts should give you several options to choose from. Let us know if we can help you in any way.
Oct 15, 2006 at 9:12 AM Mr. Sean Cheyney, my situation is simple. I was shopping for life insurance and the quote that I received on line not once but 4 different times was lower than when your office called me and then changed the quote. SAME information over the phone that I put in on line not onece but four different times using the same information. Your office kept calling and I kept telling them on the phone and in an email the reason why I was no longer interested.<br>Honor your quotes on line and do not change them and you may get more customers.
Oct 15, 2006 at 9:13 AM Not ignoring you, but have been caught up in career and family issues.<br>Still realize the need for life insurance.<br>Please keep in touch.<br><br>John J Lynch

Oct 15, 2006 at 11:33 AM I found your website easy to navigate and the representative who called to be very helpful and professional. However my initial intention was to just get some online quotes. I discovered however that the quotes recieved were only 5 dollars a month less than my father (age 65) is paying for twice as much coverage. I've learned if your a preferred smoker and ever had a pre-existing condition (non-cancerous), even though the situation has been resolved and you are an overall healthy individual, They will all still use this as an excuse to increase your premium. What has me most befuttled is my father who had prostate cancer and still suffers from high blood pressure and high cholesteral pays 50.00 a month for 250,000 and they want 45.00 a month for me to get 100,000. Am I missing something here.
Oct 14, 2006 at 1:00 PM I wanted to increase my life insurance policy from 300k to 1 million dollars. I had received a quote from my financial planner and I was benchmarking it against other plans. I ultimately decided to go with my current financial planner.<br><br>There was nothing wrong with your website or your information.
Oct 14, 2006 at 2:04 PM Why do you solicit inquiries from EVERYBODY and then when someone comes to your site and tries to fill out the info required in order to get quotes discovers that there is some maximum age beyond which no quotes are available?
Oct 14, 2006 at 12:24 PM I liked the automatic quote, but that was all that I wanted. I did not want to be called; I just wanted the information in writing, online.<br><br>Thank you.
Oct 14, 2006 at 9:47 AM If I am to be contacted by phone, then you will need to leave a voice message letting me know who you are and the time you are calling, so I can identify the phone number on caller ID the next time. I do not answer calls from unidentified or unknown callers unless I recognize the number.
Oct 14, 2006 at 12:08 PM The VA has given me all the life insurance I need at this time. Thanks.
Oct 14, 2006 at 8:35 AM I think it's a shame site such as this usually require a phone number. I am very interested in getting insurance, but cannot have phone calls. I live with a night worker that must get daytime sleep. I also have an elderly grandmother and need to keep the ringer on. See my delima? Please do not call. I am looking for state subsidized health care. I do intend to relocate when I find good affordable health care in a climate I like.<br><br>Thank You,<br>Dena

Oct 13, 2006 at 12:49 PM to answer your question's // I'm 82 and if i had the kind of $'s you ask for to insure. then i wouldn't need the insurance . Thanks but i'm good. A.A.R.
Oct 13, 2006 at 1:03 PM At your age, obtaining life insurance is expensive. Thanks for your feedback.
Oct 13, 2006 at 1:21 PM There is nothing wrong with your website or quotes which were competitive. It is just that the very slight difference in price did not warrent a change of my existing auto insurance coverage at time of renewal. I will be checking every time I have a renewal.
Oct 13, 2006 at 1:34 PM Thanks Stephen. I hope that you meant that you would consider us for life insurance, since we don't see auto insurance.
Oct 13, 2006 at 3:03 PM I travel a lot for work and have a hard time returning personal calls sometimes... I am interested in pursuing this issue. Thanks, Kevin.
Oct 13, 2006 at 3:27 PM In response to comment #2 - what additional information can we provide you with regarding your life insurance quotes? If you¢d like to proceed with the application process it is necessary by law to speak with you via telephone to verify some information. <br><br>Whether you¢d like to apply or are just looking for additional information, let us know what questions you have and we¢ll see if we can answer them for you via email.
